6 Easy Salad Dressings

These quick and customizable dressings are far better than anything you’ll find at the supermarket. Packed with flavor and made with wholesome ingredients, they’re perfect for dressing up a salad, roasted vegetables, or even as dips for chicken wings. Each recipe serves 4 people—so get whisking!

1. Honey Mustard

  • Ingredients:
    • 1 large teaspoon honey
    • 1 tablespoon wholegrain mustard
    • 1 tablespoon white wine vinegar
    • 3 tablespoons olive oil
    • Salt and pepper

Method:
Whisk all ingredients together until smooth. Done in seconds and utterly delicious.

2. Italian Herb

  • Ingredients:
    • ½ teaspoon dried chili flakes
    • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme, oregano, and basil (or ½ tablespoon dried herbs)
    • ½ large or 1 small clove of garlic (grated)
    • 1.5 tablespoons white balsamic vinegar (or any vinegar you have)
    • 5 tablespoons olive oil
    • Salt and pepper

Method:
Chop your fresh herbs if your using them and then whisk everything together, and you’re ready to go.

3. Ranch

  • Ingredients:
    • ½ cup sour cream
    • 1 cup natural Greek yogurt
    • 1 small clove garlic (grated)
    • 1 heaped teaspoon Parmesan (grated)
    • Zest of half a lemon
    • 1 teaspoon dried dill
    • Salt and pepper

Method:
Mix all ingredients until smooth and creamy. Perfect for dipping your chicken wings in or drizzling over some iceberg lettuce.

4. Coriander Tahini

  • Ingredients:
    • 20g fresh coriander
    • ½ tablespoon tahini
    • 1 teaspoon dried chili flakes
    • ½ teaspoon ground cumin
    • 1 clove garlic
    • 4 tablespoons olive oil
    • 2 tablespoons Greek yogurt
    • 1 tablespoon white wine or apple cider vinegar
    • Salt and pepper

Method:
Blend everything with a stick blender until smooth and creamy.

5. Thai Goodness

  • Ingredients:
    • ¼–½ fresh chili (adjust to your heat preference)
    • 10g fresh coriander
    • 1 tablespoon fresh mint
    • 8g fresh ginger (grated)
    • 1 clove garlic (grated)
    • 1 tablespoon palm sugar (or brown sugar)
    • 1.5 tablespoons fish sauce
    • 2 tablespoons lime juice (or juice and zest of 1 lime)
    • ½ tablespoon sesame oil
    • 4 tablespoons vegetable oil

Method:
Chop the herbs and chili, add the grated ginger and garlic, then mix with the liquids until balanced in flavor: sweet, salty, spicy, and sour.

6. The OG Dijon Vinaigrette

  • Ingredients:
    • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
    • 6 tablespoons olive oil
    • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
    • Salt and pepper

Method:
Whisk all ingredients together until emulsified. Simple and timeless.

Pro Tip: These dressings are even better the next day after the flavors have had time to mingle. Make a double batch and keep them ready for your next salad or dipping adventure.
