Glazed, juicy, and crispy-skinned, Christmas glazed ham with honey mustard and garlic.

Christmas Honey Mustard & Garlic Glazed Ham

This honey mustard and garlic glazed ham is the perfect festive centerpiece—and it couldn’t be easier. Whether you’ve cooked your ham yourself or are using a pre-cooked one (as I did for convenience), this recipe guarantees a beautifully caramelized glaze with minimal effort. Bonus: it’s air-fryer friendly, leaving your oven free for everything else!

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon honey (or 1.5 tablespoons for a larger ham)
  • 1.5 teaspoons whole grain mustard
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 small cloves of garlic (or 2 large), finely grated
  • Salt and freshly cracked black pepper

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Glaze

  1. In a small pan, combine the honey, mustard, olive oil, grated garlic, salt, and pepper.
  2. Gently heat the mixture until the honey melts. Bring it to a simmer for 1 minute to cook the garlic and slightly thicken the glaze.

Step 2: Prepare the Ham

  1. Remove the dark, rubbery skin from your cooked or pre-cooked ham, leaving the white fat intact.
  2. Score the fat diagonally in both directions to create diamond shapes, being careful not to cut into the flesh.

Step 3: Air Fry the Ham

  1. Make a small foil bed with sides to catch the juices and place the ham on it. Brush a generous layer of the glaze over the ham.
  2. Preheat your air fryer to 170°C and cook the ham for 10 minutes.

Step 4: Glaze & Repeat

  1. Remove the ham, baste it again with the glaze, and return it to the air fryer. Cook for another 5-10 minutes.
  2. Repeat the basting process every 5-10 minutes until all the glaze is used and your ham is beautifully caramelized.
  3. Rotate the ham occasionally to ensure even cooking. If one side is browning too quickly, turn it down slightly.

Step 5: Rest & Serve

  1. After 35-45 minutes, your ham should be hot through with a stunning, sticky glaze.
  2. Remove it from the air fryer, pour over any juices from the foil bed, and let it rest for 5-10 minutes before serving.

The result? A show-stopping ham with a golden, sticky crust packed with sweet, tangy, and garlicky flavors. Perfect for your Christmas feast or any special occasion.

Enjoy,
