Overnight Oats – The Ultimate Easy Fast Food for Breakfast!

Creamy, nutritious, and totally customisable—overnight oats are a lifesaver for busy mornings. Just mix, refrigerate, and wake up to a delicious, ready-to-eat breakfast!

Base Recipe:

  • 60g (½ cup) oats
  • 160ml (⅔ cup) milk (or 80ml / ⅓ cup for a thicker texture)
  • 60g (¼ cup) vanilla yogurt (or plain yogurt with maple syrup to taste)

Substitutions:

  • Dairy-free? Use coconut yogurt and plant-based milk.
  • Want less sweetness? Use plain yogurt instead of vanilla.

Flavour Variations:

Banana, Blueberry & Peanut Butter

Rich, nutty, and packed with fruity goodness.

  • 2 tbsp peanut butter
  • ½ banana, chopped
  • 1 tbsp frozen blueberries
  • ½ tsp chia seeds

Method: Mix everything with your base recipe, refrigerate overnight, and enjoy!

Carrot Cake Overnight Oats

A spiced, naturally sweet breakfast inspired by the classic dessert.

  • ¼ carrot, grated
  • ¼ tsp cinnamon (or pumpkin spice for extra flavour)
  • 1 tbsp chopped roasted pecans
  • 1 tbsp raisins
  • A drizzle of maple syrup

Method: Mix well and refrigerate. For extra indulgence, top with a little yogurt and crushed nuts before serving.

Berry Burst Overnight Oats

Fruity, refreshing, and full of antioxidants.

  • 75g (½ cup) mixed frozen berries (or just strawberries/raspberries)
  • ½ tsp chia seeds
  • Optional: ¼ tsp vanilla extract if using plain yogurt

Method: Mix everything and let it soak overnight. When serving, crumble a digestive biscuit on top—it’s divine!

Mocha Overnight Oats

For the coffee lovers—this one gives you a morning caffeine kick!

  • 1 tsp cocoa powder
  • 1 shot of coffee (80ml / ⅓ cup), remove the same amount of milk from the base recipe
  • 1 tsp ground flaxseed

Method: Stir it all together and let it chill overnight. Use vanilla yogurt for extra creaminess.

Make-Ahead Tip:
Overnight oats last up to 3 days in the fridge, so make a few jars at once for easy grab-and-go breakfasts.

Enjoy
