Prawn and Coriander Stuffed Chicken Wings

Ingredients:

  • 8 deboned chicken wings (Visit my YouTube channel for a video tutorial on how to debone them)
  • 15g (½ cup) coriander, chopped
  • 10g (1 tablespoon) ginger, grated
  • 4 small garlic cloves, minced (or 2-3 large cloves)
  • 10 uncooked frozen prawns, defrosted
  • 5 extra prawns, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon light soy sauce
  • 1 ½ tablespoons sesame seeds
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For the Flour Dusting:

  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • Curry powder (if available, use BABA’S Serbuk Kari Daging; otherwise, just use salt and pepper)

Instructions:

Prepare the Chicken Wings:

  • Debone the 8 chicken wings. For guidance on how to do this, check out the tutorial on my YouTube channel.

Make the Stuffing:

  • In a small blender, combine 10 defrosted prawns, coriander, ginger, garlic, sesame oil, soy sauce, and sesame seeds.
  • Blend until you get a fine paste.
  • Empty the paste into a bowl and fold in the 5 chopped prawns.

Stuff the Wings:

  • Gently stuff each wing with about 2 teaspoons of the prawn mixture.
  • Be careful not to overstuff, and make sure the filling is evenly distributed inside the wings.

Prepare the Flour Dusting:

  • In a bowl, mix the flour with a pinch of salt and pepper. If you have BABA’S Serbuk Kari Daging, add a little curry powder for an extra layer of flavor.
  • Lightly dust each stuffed wing with the seasoned flour mixture.

Cook the Wings in the Air Fryer:

  • Preheat your air fryer to 190°C (375°F).
  • Lightly oil the base of the air fryer basket to prevent sticking.
  • Place the wings in the hot basket—they should sizzle as they hit the surface.
  • Cook for 10 minutes, turning halfway through.

Finish Cooking:

  • After 10 minutes, increase the temperature to 215-220°C (420-430°F).
  • Cook for another 5-6 minutes until the wings are crispy and golden brown.

Serve:

  • Once cooked, remove the wings from the air fryer.
  • Drizzle a little chili oil over the top, sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds, and garnish with fresh coriander.
  • Serve the wings hot and enjoy!

Total Estimated Time:

  • Prep Time: 20 minutes
  • Cook Time: 15-16 minutes
  • Total Time: 35-40 minutes

These stuffed chicken wings are packed with flavor, and trust me—they’re worth the effort of deboning! Enjoy!
